The useful filtration of the compressed air filter is divided into five stages, the principle is as follows: Each principle can be useful to remove the specific pollutants collected by the fibers of the different particle sizes and the filter media, these particles are captured, agglutination into larger droplets, which are transported through the media, and thus discharged.
Five filtration methods of compressed air filter are introduced
1. Gravity settlement
Generally only for larger particles (particle size of at least about 2 microns) can work, usually only in the case of small flow to be useful to capture particles, in this case the number of particles is large, can be affected by gravity, so as to flow through the flow channel will be caught by the fiber.
2. Inertial impact
Small particles (usually less than 2 microns in size) pass through the surface of the filter medium, but cannot pass through the curved flow channels within the medium and are therefore caught by the fibers, in which case inertial impact occurs.
3. Block directly
If the particle size is greater than the uniform aperture of the filter medium (about 0.1 microns), the particles will directly hit the surface of the fiber matrix, and the compressed air filter element is a glass fiber filter medium with a uniform fiber diameter of 0.5 microns.
4. Dispersion (Brownian motion)
It has been confirmed that very small particles (particle size less than 0.1-0.2 microns) move in a very random, very irregular way in the air stream, and if the particles are small, their movement is often very intense, so as to increase the impact on the avant-garde matrix.
5. Static electricity
If the particles and the charge on the filter can constitute a large electrostatic attraction, so as to attract the particles to the surface of the filter, the particles can be stacked by electrostatic accumulation method, and the electrostatic capture organization has a complementary role in other capture organizations, especially for blocking and dispersing organizations.
