The application of limit switch in machine tool equipment

The limit switch usually refers to the switch assembled in the housing, especially suitable for places with special requirements for mechanical strength and environmental adaptability, to protect the built-in micro switch from external force, water, oil, gas and dust damage. Shapes can be roughly divided into horizontal, vertical, and composite.


The limit switch has many applications in the machine tool, which can be used to control the movement of the workpiece or the stroke of the automatic feed to avoid collision accidents. Sometimes, the controlled object can use the limit switch to automatically reverse at two specified positions, thereby obtaining continuous reciprocating motion. For example, when the car transporting materials automatically reaches the end, it will touch the limit switch, connect the rollover mechanism, and then turn the materials on the car out and return to the starting point. After reaching the starting point, we touch the travel switch at the starting point, switch on the circuit of the loading mechanism, and start the automatic loading. All the time, it has become an unattended automated production line, working day and night, saving manpower.


Limit switch products are widely used in the control and restraint of engineering construction, ports, mining and other industries to lift and transfer mechanical equipment space coordinates. The limit switch is composed of a mechanical memory control device and sensor which synchronize the high precision transmission ratio reducer with the output shaft. The limit switch has the advantages of small size, many functions, high precision, adjustable limit, strong versatility, maintenance, installation, and convenient use and adjustment, so it is widely used in construction machinery.


Limit switch is divided into working limit switch and upper limit switch. The working limit switch is more suitable for indicating the mechanism in place. The limit switch is used to avoid accidents caused by mechanism action beyond the design range. The operating limit switch is installed where the equipment can change the operating environmental conditions. After the switch action, the signal is provided to perform other actions. The limit switch is installed at the far end of the mechanism action to protect the mechanism from damage due to excessive mechanism action.
