What is the difference between electric valve and solenoid valve?

Publish time: 2023-06-25 14:51:49
  1. Switch form:

The solenoid valve is driven by the coil, can only be opened or closed, and the operation time is short when switching.

The drive of the electric valve is generally driven by the motor, and the opening or closing action requires a certain amount of time to complete the simulation, which can be adjusted.

2. Nature of work:

The general flow coefficient of the solenoid valve is very small, and the working pressure difference is very small. For example, the flow coefficient of the general 25-caliber solenoid valve is much smaller than that of the 15-caliber electric ball valve. The solenoid valve is driven by the electromagnetic coil, which is easier to be damaged by voltage shock. Equivalent to the role of the switch, that is, the two roles of opening and closing.

The electric valve is generally driven by a motor, which is more resistant to voltage shock. The solenoid valve is fast opening and fast closing, generally used in small flow and small pressure, and the electric valve is vice versa where the switching frequency is large. The opening of the valve can be controlled, and the state is open, closed, half-open and half-closed, which can control the flow of the intermediate quality of the pipeline and the solenoid valve can not meet this requirement.

The solenoid valve can be reset after the general power failure, and the electric valve needs to add a reset device for such a function.

3, applicable process:

The solenoid valve is suitable for some special process requirements, such as leakage, fluid media, etc., and the price is more expensive.

Electric valves are generally used for regulation, and there are also switching quantities, such as: fan coil ends.

Solenoid valve: Used for switching control of liquid and gas lines, it is two-position DO control. Generally used for small pipe control.

Electric valve: For liquid, gas and wind system pipeline medium flow analog adjustment, is AI control. In the control of large valves and wind systems, electric valves can also be used as two-position switch control.

Solenoid valve: can only be used as a switching quantity, is DO control, can only be used for small pipe control, common in DN50 and below pipes, there is very little upward.

Electric valve: can have AI feedback signals, can be controlled by DO or AO, compared to large pipelines and wind valves.
